Voice Analysis
Voice analysis involves the non-invasive evaluation of vocal patterns, frequency, and acoustic properties to assess laryngeal function and overall respiratory health.
Just as breathing profiles change under stress or disease, vocal characteristics such as pitch, jitter, shimmer, and harmonic-to-noise ratio alter when the respiratory and laryngeal systems are compromised.
In healthy individuals, vocal cord vibration is symmetrical and steady, whereas individuals experiencing respiratory distress or neurological conditions often display measurable voice degradation, vocal fatigue, or altered speech-breathing coordination.
